I already wrote a blog post about how to watermark images using the wonderful free software called “darktable.” However, there is an even easier and quicker way now to watermark images — use the Chrome extension called Awesome Screenshot and Screen Recorder.
Before watermarking your images, please have the below ready:
Chrome browser
Awesome Screenshot extension – Please add this extension to your Chrome browser (As at the time of writing this blog, the extension for Firefox does not have this watermark feature available). Add to Chrome > Add extension > Sign-in page (sign-in not required, you can close the page) > Pin the extension to the toolbar
Your logo (Your site logo or text-based logo which you want to use as a watermark)
About Logo: Just so you know, my logo is 500x500px and is in PNG format with a transparent background (size can be any size). The information below may be useful if you need to quickly create a logo or make your image transparent.

Final thought
Amazingly, the Awesome Screenshot extension’s watermark feature enables users to instantly add a watermark to their images. The feature has some restrictions, such as the positioning of a watermark, but if you require a simple tool for watermarking images, this may be the answer.
Do you require more precise adjustment, or should you watermark into several images at once? Please visit my other article below to learn more about the free software – darktable.
